Some dogs earn their names, and Royalty certainly has. This gorgeous 2 1/2-year-old German Shepherd weighs 68 pounds and has the sweetest personality to match her regal name.

Royalty's world was turned upside down when a house fire destroyed her family's home. Faced with an unimaginable situation, her owner made the heartbreaking decision to surrender Royalty and another dog to ACCT Philly, knowing they could no longer provide for them. Thankfully, both found their way into our rescue, and quickly become a staff and volunteer favorite.

According to her former owner, Royalty is housebroken, crate trained, walks nicely on a leash, and knows several commands. She loves going for walks, enjoys playtime, and is an all-around wonderful companion. She also has one adorable quirk: she loves playing with shoes! Future adopters may want to keep their footwear tucked away... unless you've been looking for an excuse to go shoe shopping.

Since joining us, Royalty has confirmed everything her former owner said and more. She has been an absolute gem in our care, with a gentle, loving demeanor that wins over everyone she meets. Whether she's out for a walk, spending time with volunteers, or simply soaking up attention, Royalty approaches life with kindness and grace.

While losing her home was difficult, we're determined to make sure her next chapter is filled with love, stability, and the forever family she deserves. Royalty has so much to offer and is ready to be someone's loyal best friend for years to come.
