Meet Toby

Toby is a 2½‑year‑old, 8‑pound Shih Tzu with stunning white fur and a tender, soulful expression. He came to us along with several other dogs when a commercial breeder decided to close their operation, giving Toby the chance to finally experience life beyond a kennel setting.

As expected, Toby is shy and nervous at first, but he’s been slowly opening up as he learns the world can be kind. He allows handling and can be picked up, and one volunteer affectionately described him as a “dear little man.” With patience and gentle reassurance, Toby continues to make quiet progress each day.

Toby is looking for a calm, quiet home where he can move at his own pace and spend the rest of his life being pampered and loved. He’ll do best with a family that understands he may need time to build confidence, but is ready to offer consistency, softness, and compassion.

He would need dog meets with any resident dogs.

He will come neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and 4dx tested.
