Meet Sweetie

Sweetie is a 10‑week‑old, double merle Australian Shepherd who came to us with her sister after being surrendered by a commercial breeder in Lancaster County. Weighing about 10 lbs, Sweetie lives up to her name — she is sweet, social, and friendly, and loves gentle attention and interaction.

She was surrendered due to concerns that she might be blind and/or deaf. Since coming into rescue, Sweetie has been evaluated by a veterinarian, and we’re happy to share that she responds to sounds normally. While her left eye is slightly smaller, she has clear lenses with no visible corneal defects, and she confidently navigates her environment without bumping into objects. She explores her space well and behaves like a curious, happy puppy.

Sweetie enjoys being around people and other dogs, and would do best in a home with another social, dog‑friendly dog to help her continue building confidence and learning the world. As with all puppies, she’ll benefit from continued structure, training, and positive socialization.

Sweetie is looking for a patient, loving home that will give her the chance she deserves to grow into the wonderful dog she’s meant to be.

She will come spayed, vaccinated, microchipped

She would need to meet any resident dogs. We will not adopt siblings together.
