Kenny - Shepherd Dog for Adoption in VERNON ROCKVL, Connecticut

Kenny believes the best parts of puppyhood are playtime, snacks, and rolling over for a good tummy rub. Curious and active, he wants to investigate what everyone is doing, then settle close to his people or curl up with his sister when it’s time to recharge. At just two months old, the world is still brand new—and Kenny is eager to explore it.

This 9-pound Shepherd mix for adoption is happiest when he has company for his adventures. Another dog gives him both a playmate and reassurance, so Kenny is looking for a home with a friendly resident dog who can help show him the ropes as he grows.

Kenny is already discovering that his crate is a pretty comfortable place. He voluntarily goes inside with his sister, sleeps there through the night without accidents, and uses it for safe downtime. Because he’s still such a young puppy, he’s learning how to be comfortable when his people leave. His current routine keeps unattended stretches to about three or four hours, and he’ll need an adopter who can continue gradually building his confidence and independence.

An active home with people ready for puppy play, training, and plenty of opportunities to run around would suit Kenny beautifully. If you’re ready to adopt a rescue dog and enjoy all the fun of raising a curious youngster, this rescue dog for adoption is ready to get started.

Kenny is available for adoption throughout Texas through Addicus' Legacy Dog Rescue's Austin-area hub. We welcome adopters from across the Lone Star State and work with local fosters to arrange meet-and-greets. Pickup logistics are arranged at adoption.
