McDermott has already discovered one of life’s great pleasures: stretching out in the sunshine while his person works nearby. He’s an affectionate, curious puppy who likes being part of whatever is happening, whether that means keeping his foster company in the garden or, once he’s fully healed, getting back to the important business of puppy play.

This mixed-breed puppy for adoption has quite a story behind that happy personality. McDermott was found along a roadway after being hit by a car, struggling to stand until a Good Samaritan stopped, rushed him to emergency care, and covered his lifesaving treatment. He’s now recovering in a medical foster home and getting stronger every day.

McDermott enjoys other dogs and has also met quite the barnyard crew. He adores the cat, leaves the goats alone, and is curious about the chickens while respecting their coop. He listens well to guidance and is already showing what an adaptable little guy he can be.

Once medically cleared, expect an active youngster ready for play and adventures. McDermott also settles comfortably on his own, making him a promising fit for a normal working household.
