This sweet retriever mix has adjusted beautifully to life as a tripawd, and these days, she's happy, energetic, and ready to make the most of every moment. Just a few days after surgery, she was already up and running around, and before long, she was jumping and climbing stairs. Going downstairs took a little extra courage, but Avery was determined to get out and play with her friends, and she figured it out!

Speaking of friends, Avery is a social girl who gets along wonderfully with dogs of all sizes, ages, and sexes. She recently had seven foster friends to play with, and she was in her element! She has plenty of energy and would love a home where she has canine companions to romp around with.

Avery is also a big fan of toys. In fact, she likes to have something in her mouth at all times, just in case an impromptu game of tug breaks out. At home, Avery is making progress with her house-training routine and learning her potty manners. She isn't a huge fan of her crate because she'd much rather be lounging on the couch with her people, but she settles in and sleeps peacefully once she's comfortable. She's also a great car passenger!

Avery is still waiting to try longer walks with a suitable harness, but she's already shown just how adaptable and determined she can be. She has embraced life on three legs with enthusiasm, and she's ready to bring that same joyful spirit to her forever family.
