Geoff - Pug Dog for Adoption in Gardena, California

At 26 pounds and 9 years old, this sweet boy was surrendered by his previous owner for reasons unknown to a local shelter. While there he developed a nasty case of kennel cough and needed out quickly, so we rushed over, picked him up, and brought him to Pug Nation for the care and fresh start he deserved.

Now that Geoff is feeling better, he has resumed his regularly scheduled programming: toys, treats, friends, affection, and more toys!

This boy is not interested in quietly easing into his senior years. Geoff absolutely LOVES to play. Fetch? Yes. Tug-of-war? Obviously. Squeaky toys? The louder the better. He will happily race after a toy, wrestle it away from you, and then parade around with it like the champ he is.

Geoff is not all action though, he's equally happy soaking up human attention, lounging with his dog buds, and accepting affection in any available form. He gets along well with other dogs and has mastered the delicate art of knowing when to join the party and when to settle in for a group nap. He contains multitudes.

Then there is the underbite! A tiny, spectacular display of lower teeth that adds even more personality to a dog already overflowing with it. Geoff is silly, affectionate, endlessly charming, and equipped with a heart of absolute gold.

His ideal adopter will have experience with senior dogs or be ready to learn how to help him stay happy and healthy as he ages. Geoff may eventually require a few senior accommodations but right now he remains busy, playful, and deeply committed to enjoying himself.
