Trixie Jo - Poodle Dog for Adoption in Columbus, Ohio

Let us introduce you to the absolutely adorable Trixie Jo! This sweet, petite Miniature Poodle is four years old and weighs just a smidge over 10 pounds – making her the perfect lap-sized companion. Her stunning caramel coat and soulful brown eyes are sure to melt your heart. She may have applications in progress, but is currently available.

Trixie Jo is a gentle soul who, due to her past experiences, can be a little shy at first. Loud noises or sudden movements might startle her, so a patient and understanding home would be ideal. But oh, once she feels safe and comfortable, her true personality shines through! She absolutely adores human affection, and there's nothing she loves more than snuggling up next to you for some well-deserved belly rubs and ear scratches.

She's a social butterfly with her canine pals and gets along wonderfully with other dogs. While we haven't had the chance to introduce her to any feline friends yet, we can tell you she's been a total gem around small toddlers – very gentle and calm! We're also starting to work on her housebreaking and leash manners, and she's making great progress. She'd love a family who's excited to continue her training journey with positive reinforcement.

Trixie Jo would thrive in a calm and laid-back home environment where she can truly blossom. And here's a fun fact: she's quite the sun worshipper! If you have a securely fenced yard where she can safely bask in the sunshine, she'd be absolutely in heaven. She's just waiting for her forever family to discover her sweet, loyal heart.

Adoption fee is $375 and includes spay/neuter, microchip, fecal/deworming, vaccines and prevention up to date. Ohio residents only.

STS is a foster-based and volunteer-run rescue. We do not have a physical location or set hours for you to meet dogs, and it does take time to answer each inquiry. All dogs are in foster homes and once an application is approved and a home visit is completed you will be able to schedule meet and greets with available dogs. We encourage interested individuals to get approved prior to searching as it helps expedite the process. A Petfinder inquiry is not a substitute for an application. For detailed information about our adoption process, including fees, please visit our website at http://www.stopthesuffering.org.
