Meet Carmin!
Carmin was recently rescued from a rural shelter along with his brother, Rocco, and he's now learning just how good life can be!
Carmin is a best-guess large mixed-breed pup, about 4 months old, currently weighing around 20 pounds. Since we don't know his parents, his adult size is just our best guess—but we expect him to be a bigger boy when fully grown.
Carmin can be a little shy when first meeting new people, but give him a little time and he warms up quickly. Once he feels comfortable, his sweet, laid-back personality really starts to shine. He loves belly rubs and pets and is perfectly content hanging out with his people and quietly chewing on a bone.
He's also food motivated, which should make continued training a lot easier! Carmin will sometimes bark when he hears something unfamiliar or when his brother convinces him there's something worth barking about. Because of that, a home without shared apartment walls may be the best fit for him.
Carmin is doing well with crate training. He willingly goes into his crate, is comfortable there, and sleeps through the night. He's still working on potty training and has had a few accidents, so his future family should be prepared to continue helping him learn.
This sweet boy has already been through a lot of change in a short period of time, so he'll do best with a family who understands that he may need a little patience when meeting new people and adjusting to new situations.
If you're looking for a sweet, slightly shy pup who loves affection but also knows how to settle down and entertain himself, Carmin may be your guy!
