Meet Roco!

Oh, Roco. This boy is going to keep his future family laughing—and probably keep them on their toes, too!

Roco was recently rescued from a rural shelter with his brother, Carmin. He's a best-guess large mixed-breed pup, about 4 months old, and already weighs around 30 pounds, so we think there could be a whole lot more Roco to love as he grows!

Roco is the busier, higher-energy brother. He loves squeaky toys, treat puzzles, food, playing and chewing on pretty much anything he can get his paws on—so keeping an appropriate supply of toys and chews around will definitely be a good idea! He's smart, curious and very food motivated, which should be a huge help with training.

Underneath that busy-boy exterior is actually a pretty sensitive pup. Roco is shy when meeting new people and may need a little more time than his brother to decide that someone is safe. When he first arrived in foster care, he would cringe if someone reached over his head to pet him. In less than a week, though, he was already becoming much more comfortable and learning that people can be pretty great.

Roco barks when he gets excited or hears something unfamiliar, so apartment living probably isn't his ideal match. And considering he's already around 30 pounds and still growing, he may eventually exceed many apartment weight restrictions anyway.

He's doing well with crate training, willingly goes into his crate, is comfortable there and sleeps through the night. Potty training is still a work in progress, so his adopter should expect to continue working on that.

Roco will benefit from a family willing to give him a little patience while he builds confidence—but once he feels safe, get ready for a fun, energetic, goofy boy with plenty of personality!
