Ray is a 40 pound male Pit Bull and Hound mix born on April 20, 2026. He is living in a foster home in Massachusetts.

PERSONALITY: Ray is a goofy, social puppy with a moderate energy level. He loves being the center of attention, playing with his people, and greeting everyone he meets.

FAVORITE THINGS: Toys, bones, playing with other dogs and children, and chasing butterflies, bugs, and moths around the yard. He also loves collecting socks and anything else he can carry away.

AT HOME: Ray is about halfway through house training. He sleeps through the night in his crate and settles easily. He is not a big barker and usually directs his chewing toward toys and bones, although he is still learning which household items are not puppy toys.

LEASH SKILLS: Ray does well on leash with some pulling.

OTHER DOGS: Ray lives with 2 large dogs and enjoys playing and relaxing with them. He has also done well with another large female dog. Ray can be unsure when an unfamiliar dog approaches too strongly, so introductions should be handled thoughtfully.

CHILDREN: Ray loves the dog savvy 7 year old in his foster home. Because he is a large, enthusiastic puppy who is still working on jumping and grabbing loose sleeves during play, he would do best with older or experienced children.

CATS: Unknown.

BEST FIT: Ray would be a great match for someone comfortable with large dogs who will continue his house training and puppy manners. He is a fun, affectionate puppy who needs guidance, consistency, and plenty of appropriate outlets for play.

Ray came into rescue with his siblings after their previous owner could no longer keep them. He is ready for a family of his own and a home where he can keep learning and being his goofy self.

All of our dogs are up to date on vaccinations, spayed or neutered, microchipped, and on preventatives.
