Sumner is currently in Tennessee and will be ready to travel to Massachusetts once she receives medical clearance. She is eligible for BFAR’s Foster to Adopt program.

Sumner is a female Pit Bull mix who is approximately 2 years old and weighs about 65 pounds.

BACKGROUND: Sumner is the mother of BFAR’s Bridge litter. She and her puppies were found living under a bridge before being rescued by our southern partner in Tennessee. Her puppies made it safely into rescue, and now it is finally Sumner’s turn to find a family of her own.

PERSONALITY: Sumner is a happy-go-lucky, affectionate girl who loves people. She has a medium energy level and enjoys playing, spending time with her people, and relaxing nearby.

FAVORITE THINGS: Sumner loves water. If your family enjoys the pool, pond, or beach, she would be happy to join the fun.

OTHER DOGS: Sumner is dog friendly and enjoys playing with other dogs.

CHILDREN: Unknown.

CATS: Unknown.

MEDICAL: Sumner has completed heartworm treatment and is doing well. She is awaiting her follow-up Knott’s test before being cleared to travel to Massachusetts.

BEST FIT: Sumner would be a wonderful addition to a family looking for an affectionate, social dog with a nice balance of playful energy and the ability to relax. She would love a home where she can be included in everyday life and enjoy plenty of time with her people.

Sumner spent long enough making sure her puppies were safe. Now she deserves a foster or forever family that will give her the love and security she has been waiting for.

All of our dogs are up to date on vaccinations, spayed or neutered, microchipped, and on preventatives.
