Anabelle, 1 years old, spayed female, Pitbull mix, 33 pounds. She is in a foster home in BURIEN, WA.

Anabelle was rescued from a shelter in Texas and transported to WA. Her adoption donation reflects the transport cost in addition to offsetting medical.

Just before her life was about to end in an overcrowded shelter, Anabelle was rescued and given the opportunity to discover what it means to be safe, cared for, and cherished. She has embraced that second chance with an open heart, and now she's searching for the family that will love her forever.

Anabelle is a playful, affectionate girl with a wonderful mix of curiosity and sweetness. She may be a little shy when meeting someone new, but it doesn't take long before her personality shines—especially if there's a toy involved! Plush toys, squeaky toys, treats...they're all favorites. Once she trusts you, she'll happily lean in for pets, rest her head in your lap, and soak up every bit of affection you're willing to give.

She enjoys spending time with other dogs and has done especially well with larger canine companions, though she's also been friendly with smaller dogs. Anabelle has a playful, moderate energy level and loves running around the yard, but she also knows how to settle down after a good play session. She's respectful of other dogs' boundaries and recognizes when it's time to stop playing.

Anabelle is fully house-trained and has done wonderfully with crate training. She sleeps quietly through the night in her crate and comfortably relaxes there for several hours during the day while her foster family is away. She rides calmly in the car, has met both men and women without any concerns, and is beginning to learn leash walking. Like any dog adjusting to a new home, she'll benefit from continued positive reinforcement and patience as she builds confidence.

Because she's an enthusiastic, playful girl who doesn't always realize her own strength, we think she'd do best in a home with older children or adults. She would thrive with an active family that enjoys walks, playtime, and including their dog in everyday life. While she'd enjoy having another friendly dog around, she doesn't require a canine companion to be happy.

What makes Anabelle so special isn't just her playful spirit—it's her resilience. She came so close to never getting the chance to experience love, yet she greets each day with hope, joy, and an eagerness to connect with the people around her.

If you're looking for a loyal best friend who will make you smile with her playful antics, curl up beside you after a day of adventures, and remind you every day what second chances can mean, Anabelle is ready to meet you.

Please note our process starts with an application. If we think you might be a good fit, we will reach out to coordinate a phone interview. This is followed by a video call with the foster home. Virtual home visit, personal and vet reference checks are required to complete the process. Transport is included in our adoption donation.
