THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TEXAS. THEIR ADOPTION DONATION IS $575 AND INCLUDES TRANSPORT. PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE BIO, AS IT CONTAINS IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT OUR ADOPTION AND SCREENING PROCESS.
Our process begins with an application. If we believe it may be a good match, we will reach out to schedule a phone interview, followed by a video call with the foster home. A virtual home visit, along with personal and veterinary reference checks, are required to complete the adoption process. Once approved, the dog will be placed on the next available transport, which runs every few weeks and is included in the adoption donation. If you are not able to welcome a dog until a later date, please wait to apply until that time.
We are a volunteer-run rescue and donate our time to help these dogs find homes. If you are not serious about moving forward with the adoption process, please do not apply. If other people in your household are part of the decision, please make sure they are fully on board before submitting an application. This helps ensure we respect everyone’s time.

Audra is a tiny brown puppy with that fun, bouncy energy that makes you smile without even trying. At around 9 weeks old, this little Chihuahua mix is right in that stage where everything is new and interesting. She came into rescue as part of an owner surrender with her mom (11 lbs and we've included a pic of her as well), and we suspect dad is similar in size. Audra is expected to stay on the smaller side once fully grown.
Audra is being fostered in Austin, Texas and is available for adoption out of state. Transport can be arranged by the rescue once matched with an approved adopter. The adoption process includes an application, phone interview, video call with the foster home, virtual home visit, and vet and personal reference checks.
Right now, Audra is still taking everything in. She may be a little unsure at first in new situations, but she warms up quickly and starts to show her playful, affectionate side once she feels safe. She’s a happy, wiggly puppy who loves to move, explore, and engage with the world around her.
Audra is doing well with other dogs and benefits from being around friendly, confident pups. Continued socialization to new people, environments, and experiences will be really important as she grows. With the right exposure and guidance, she has all the potential to become an easygoing, adaptable companion.
Like all puppies her age, she just needs a little patience, structure, and consistency as she learns the basics. Audra is still working on house training and crate training and will need a family ready to guide her through that process. Because she’s so young, she’ll do best in a home where someone is around more often than not to support her development and give her the attention she needs to thrive.
Audra hasn’t been around cats or young children yet, but would likely do well in a calm home with respectful, well-mannered kids who understand how to interact with a small puppy. A steady, supportive environment will help her continue building confidence.
If you’re looking for a small, playful, bouncy puppy you can grow with and help shape from the start, Audra could be a great fit. She just needs a little patience, consistency, and love to turn into a really wonderful companion.
