Gorgeous 1.5 year-old Octavia recently arrived from Chicago Animal Care and Control and has quickly been capturing hearts here! Octavia spent a long weekend in foster and we learned so much great information on her, hint- she is pretty amazing! Here is what her foster had to share about her.

"This sweet girl is the total package: affectionate, easygoing, & ALWAYS wagging her tail! She loves spending time with her people, whether that's going for a leisurely walk, tossing her toys around for solo playtime, or curling up for a cozy nap.

She's a fantastic leash walker, shows little interest in squirrels or rabbits, & has been non-reactive around both people and other dogs (though, she loves when people come up to say hi!).

She's doing wonderfully with her potty training, settles beautifully in her crate with a Kong, & sleeps peacefully through the night. While she's gentle with her toys, she can get a little enthusiastic during play & is still learning that not everyone wants full-contact wrestling sessions, so she'd do best with a family committed to helping her polish her manners.

If you're looking for a loving companion who's equal parts playful and snuggly, this happy-go-lucky girl may be your perfect match!"

Octavia's adoption fee has been generously sponsored as part of our promotion spotlighting dogs rescued from our city shelter, Chicago Animal Care and Control. This animal is spayed, up to date on core vaccines, and Heartworm negative.
