Introducing 1(ish!) year old Cullen, a rare and exceptional example of the prized Bobble-Head Pittie breed. (Ok, we made that up, but what is rare is a dog whose head weighs more than his entire body!) This meatball is pretty much the cutest thing we've ever seen.

When we were at Chicago Animal Care and Control, we were walking down the aisles visiting all the dogs, and couldn't help stop at a specific kennel. While all the other dogs were barking, here sat this grey hippo, not barking or whining, just loudly thumping his tail on his bed. Yes, even in a kennel full of barking dogs, he was still wagging his tail so fast and so hard that you could hear it. We melted as he thumped even harder as we told him what a good boy he was. So stinking cute.

We asked our volunteer friends about him and they had nothing but great things to say: "Wiggly, silly, and the biggest ham around." "A total love." "A very good boy." "An absolute angel." "The kind of dog who is just easy to love."

We have loved having him here at Heartland. He loves everyone he meets - dog and human. He went to a short term foster home, where we learned how much he loves being with his people, and can struggle when left without them.

Cullen will do best with adopters who will take the time to teach him that he is okay being alone, and that they will come back for him. He is such a special boy and we know he is worth it!

Cullen's adoption fee is $300. This animal is neutered, up to date on core vaccines, and Heartworm negative.

ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED

The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
