Coconut is a petite little 1 year old brindle girl who we placed directly into a foster home from Chicago Animal Care and Control. She spent some time decompressing with a wonderful foster family, and since they know her best, we asked them to give us a description. Here is what they had to say:
"Coconut plays HARD and loves even harder. She's a young, active pup who's always ready for the next adventure, whether it's running, playing, riding in the car or just being delightfully busy. It may take her a little while to fully power down, but once she does, she turns into the ultimate snugglebug. Think dramatic head plops, cozy naps, and happily melting right into you.
Coconut is a certified people lover. She greets humans with enthusiastic "hugs" (yes, paws included) and gives out the sweetest kisses like it's her personal mission."
Coconut is reportedly house trained, but between all her playtime and her love of water, she'll need regular potty breaks. She's also food motivated and a potential A+ student-she just needs a little guidance and training to really shine.
Do you crave a running partner, a hiking buddy, or a swimming companion who will match your energy? If so, come meet Coconut at the shelter, she will wriggle, pounce, and snuggle her way into your heart!
Coconut is spayed, up to date on core vaccines, and Heartworm negative.
ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
