DESCRIPTION
Thousand Island is at our shelter. Please submit an application from our website or just come in to meet him during open hours!
Thousand Island came to us with his momma, Ensalada, and his 7 siblings from Texas in mid- April at just 3 weeks old. Ensalada and her pups arrived in rough shape, they were flea infested and anemic. Thankfully, they recovered in no time and are now healthy and ready to find their forever homes!
Thousand Island is a lover pup! He absolutely adores attention and just wants to cuddle up close to a person. While he loves his people time, he does enjoy playing with his siblings and toys when his people aren't available! He is well on his way to being an excellent grown up pup, he is very attentive when learning 'Sit' and always trying to please his people. Don't miss your chance to meet this sweet boy, we know you'll love him just as much as we do!
Thousand Island's adoption fee is $450. This animal is neutered, and is up to date on core vaccines appropriate for their age.
They will need a rabies vaccine at 4 months of age and a Heartworm test between 6-7 months of age at the adopter's own vet.
Since he is a puppy, any adopter should anticipate needing to work on housebreaking and other training using positive reinforcement training only.
ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
