Ricky is the ultimate sweet, cuddly & loving puppy! Rick may be a little quiet and cautious at first, but give him a little time and you’ll see his loving personality shine. Once he warms up, he’s happiest curled up in your lap, being your little shadow, and napping near his foster family all day.
Rick is already showing off his good manners by walking beautifully on leash, and he’s starting to come out of his shell more each day. He enjoys playing and spending time with his foster’s resident dog and is slowly building confidence in new situations, including around louder noises.
With his soft, easygoing nature, Ricky is the definition of a gentle companion!

The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. We are DC's only open-access shelter. We are always available to help any animal in the District of Columbia. We have cats, dogs, rabbits, and more available for adoption out of our two shelters and also run the Capital Area Spay and Neuter Center.
