Corky is the best roommate you could ask for and he is a true ladies man. He loves to cuddle and watch tv and also has sporadic bursts of very entertaining zoomies after which he'll retire to his man-cave (aka his crate). He doesn't mind being left alone for a few hours and sleeps through the night. He walks very well on his leash and he's encountered cats and dogs outside and doesn't seem to mind either. Corky is very food motivated and responds well to positive reinforcement. Corky will thrive with adopters that are ready for a busy but so sweet rascal. He will be a star with positive training so adopt this mini man today.
ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
We are DC's only open-access shelter. We are always available to help any animal in the District of Columbia. We have cats, dogs, rabbits, and more available for adoption out of our two shelters and also run the Capital Area Spay and Neuter Center.
