Hello, Alexandria here. Even though my name suggests a long history of legendary ancient intellectual and cultural capital, I am really just the most lovely pup around. I basically exude happiness wherever I go and everybody here loves me and everybody is also my best friend. I am a living full-body wiggle and my tail is so busy wagging that it's a constant blur.
I am an easy walker and am working on my foundational basic manners. I would love to continue my studies (we can focus on "sit" and "down", no need to refer back to that "legendary ancient intellectual and cultural capital") and please remember to reward me with yummy treats when I get it right because this is one of my biggest life priorities (to earn yummy food).
Are you ready for beams of happiness to come into your life? I am here for it!
ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
We are DC's only open-access shelter. We are always available to help any animal in the District of Columbia. We have cats, dogs, rabbits, and more available for adoption out of our two shelters and also run the Capital Area Spay and Neuter Center.
