DESCRIPTION

Phoenix is a 4-month-old, 10 lb pup (as of May 6th) with a bright, resilient spirit and a heart full of love. Rescued from the streets of Puerto Rico with her siblings, she’s already overcome so much and is ready to rise into her next chapter with a forever family of her own.

She may take a little time to feel comfortable in new surroundings, but once she does, her playful personality shines. Phoenix loves to play, explore, and connect with her people. She’ll happily soak up attention, especially when it comes in the form of hugs, and she has a way of making every moment feel a little warmer. With her adorable spotted paws and those loving eyes, she’s truly hard to resist. With a bit of patience and encouragement, she quickly blossoms into a happy, affectionate companion.

Phoenix will be arriving in Morristown, NJ on May 16th and would love to meet her adopter right at the airport. If that’s not possible, she’ll be welcomed into a local foster home while she waits for her forever home.

Phoenix is looking for a family who will give her the time, care, and love she deserves. In return, she’ll bring joy, loyalty, and plenty of playful, cuddly moments into your life.

About The Sato Project:
The Sato Project has been working hard since 2011 to rescue and rehabilitate the stray dogs of Puerto Rico, known locally as “satos.” To date, we’ve saved over 8,000 dogs and are committed to stopping the overpopulation crisis with spay/neuter and vaccination programs. Your adoption helps us continue this vital work.

ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED

The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
