**My Name Is Mario **
I'm four months old Miniature Poodle/Schnauzer mix, about 14 pounds, and I've been told I have a face that gets me out of trouble. I have this scruffy white-and-cream hair that never seems to stay neat, and apparently it makes me look like I just rolled out of bed.
Honestly... that's probably because I did.
There's just too much to do in a day to spend time worrying about my hair.
I am neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and house-trained.
I will travel from Northern California to my foster home in Ridgefield, WA by the end of June hoping that my real family is out there. I can travel to Vancouver, BC if there is a potential adopter for me.
My adoption fee is $1000USD

Here is my story:
You see, I'm a puppy, and I think the world is the most exciting place ever invented.
Every stick is an adventure.
Every toy is the greatest toy I've ever seen.
Every butterfly needs to be investigated.
And every person I meet could be my next best friend.
But life didn't always feel so exciting.
Not too long ago, I was just a little stray puppy trying to figure things out. I didn't have a home or a soft bed, and somehow I ended up in a shelter in Southern California.
I didn't know why I was there.
I didn't know if anyone would come for me.
I was just a baby, and the world suddenly felt very big.
Then, one day, everything changed.
Kind people looked at me and decided that I deserved a chance.
A chance to run.
A chance to play.
A chance to grow up knowing what love feels like.
And I have to tell you...
I think love is my favorite thing.
Well... maybe tied with snacks.
And squeaky toys.
And belly rubs.
And running around the yard.
Okay, I have a lot of favorite things.
I wake up every morning ready to see what adventure is waiting for me.
Maybe it's a new trail to explore.
Maybe it's learning something new.
Maybe it's meeting another dog to play with.
Or maybe it's just following my people around the house because I like being part of whatever they're doing.
I don't want to miss a single moment.
If you're making dinner, I'll help.
If you're folding laundry, I'll supervise.
If you're sitting on the couch, I'll happily climb up beside you because adventures are wonderful... but cuddles are pretty amazing too.
I'm still learning, of course.
I'm learning that crates are cozy.
I'm learning good manners.
I'm learning that people can be kind and that every day brings something new to discover.
Most of all, I'm learning what it means to belong.
But I know the best lesson is still waiting for me.
Finding my forever family.
Sometimes I imagine what they'll be like.
Maybe they'll laugh at my goofy puppy antics.
Maybe they'll take me on little adventures and teach me all about the world.
Maybe they'll understand that even though I have endless energy, I also have a soft little heart that just wants to be loved.
I don't need a perfect home.
I just need a family that will let me be part of their story.
A family that will watch me grow from a silly scruffy puppy into their loyal best friend.
A family that will never let me wonder where I belong again.
If that's you, I promise I'll fill your life with laughter, muddy paw prints, happy dances, and more love than you ever thought could fit inside a 14-pound puppy.
My name is Mario.
I got my second chance.
And I think maybe...
You might be the happy ending I've been waiting for.
Love,
**Mario **
