My name is Tootsie.

I am a 3.5 months Chihuahua mix growing up into a confident little girl with a big personality packed into my tiny 4.2-pound body.

People tell me I'm adorable with my chocolate-brown coat and little tan paws. I don't really know what that means, but I do know that I love making people smile.

I am too young and small to be spayed, but fully vaccinated, microchipped, and house-trained.

I made a long journey and traveled from Southern California to my foster home in Ridgefield, WA hoping that my real family is out there. I can travel to Vancouver, BC if there is a potential adopter for me.

Here is my story:

Before I was even born, my mommy and I almost ran out of time.

You see, my mama was a tiny little dog who found herself in a crowded high-kill shelter in Southern California. She was scared, pregnant, and alone. Nobody knew that she was carrying a family inside hera family that included me.

I never saw the shelter walls. I never felt the fear my mama felt. Because before it was too late, kind people stepped in and saved her.

And because they saved her... they saved me too.

A few weeks later, on February 20, 2026, I entered the world surrounded by safety, warmth, and love. While so many puppies are born without a chance, I was given a miracle before I even took my first breath.

My mama spent her days protecting me and my siblings, teaching us how to be brave, how to play, and how to trust.

I love exploring every corner of the world.

I love making friends with dogs, cats, chickens, and anyone willing to say hello.

I love chasing toys, discovering new adventures, and being right in the middle of whatever is happening.

Sometimes when everyone is sleeping, I curl up in my bed and think about how lucky I am.

Lucky that my mama was rescued.

Lucky that I was born safe.

Lucky that I got a chance to grow up knowing kindness.

But there's still one thing missing from my story.

My forever family.

Somewhere out there is a family who doesn't know it yet, but their best friend is waiting for them.

Maybe it's a family with kids who need a tiny shadow to follow them around.

Maybe it's someone looking for a little companion to share life's adventures.

Maybe it's someone whose heart has been waiting for a puppy exactly like me.

I may be small, but my love is bigger than you can imagine.

And I promise that if you choose me, I will spend the rest of my life being grateful for the chance to be yours.
