Mr. Cutie Mysterio - Pug and Terrier Dog for Adoption in Ridgefield, Washington

My name is Mysterio.

I am an adorable little 2 months old wire-haired Pug/Terrier mix (best guess) with a one-of-a-kind look and an even sweeter personality.

I may only be 2 months old, but my life has already been quite a journey.

I am too young and small to be neutered, but fully vaccinated, microchipped.

I will make a long journey to travel from Southern California to my foster home in Ridgefield, WA by the end of June hoping when I am old enough hoping that my real family is out there. I can travel to Vancouver, BC if there is a potential adopter for me.

Here is my story:

Somewhere along the way, I lost everything. I don't know where my family went or why I ended up alone. All I remember is feeling scared, hungry, and wondering why nobody stopped for a tiny puppy like me.

Day after day, I searched for kindness. I searched for someone to notice me. Someone to tell me I mattered.

Instead, I found myself in a crowded shelter. The sounds were overwhelming. Dogs barking. Doors opening and closing. So many frightened faces looking through kennel bars, all hoping for the same thinga second chance.

I was just a baby.

While other puppies were learning what it felt like to be loved, I was learning what it felt like to be forgotten.

But somehow, my story changed.

A rescue saw me. They looked past my scruffy coat and my uncertain eyes and saw a little soul who deserved a future. They picked me up, held me close, and promised me that my life was about to get better.

For the first time, I felt safe.

For the first time, I slept without being afraid.

For the first time, someone cared.

Now I spend my days doing all the things puppies should doplaying with my friends, chasing toys, exploring the world, and giving as many kisses as I possibly can. Every morning I wake up excited because I know kindness exists.

But every night before I fall asleep, I still dream about one thing.

I dream about my family.

I dream about a home where I never have to wonder if I'll be left behind again.

I dream about a couch where I can curl up beside my people.

I dream about hearing someone say, "That's my dog."

I dream about belonging.

I don't need a perfect family. I just need a family who will love me for the rest of my life.

A family who will watch me grow from this tiny 9-pound puppy into the loyal best friend I've always wanted to be.

A family who will never let me feel forgotten again.
