Chunky
Meet Chunky, a sweet, gentle, affectionate, and easygoing one-year-old Xoloitzcuintli who weighs just under ten pounds! He's moderate energy — happy to entertain himself, but he truly lights up with a good snuggle.
Chunky settled into his foster home quickly, playing with the resident dog within half a day. He's friendly and affectionate with people, loves eye contact, and gently places his paw on you for more scratches. He's pee pad trained, well-behaved when left alone, and knows how to give paw. He's still building leash confidence, especially in rain.
His days are full of napping, snuggling, burrowing in blankets, and playing with his favorite donut toy. As a Xolo, he has very little hair and doesn't shed at all!
Chunky would do best with an adopter looking for a devoted snuggle buddy, ideally someone home often. He'd do well as an only dog or with another pup, and he's a great fit for apartment living.
