Meet Santana!

This sweet lady is around 10 years old and a petite 20 lbs. She was found roaming the streets and landed in an overcrowded shelter. We knew we couldn't leave her there! Santana didn't deserve to spend her golden years wondering where her family went. What she deserves now is a loving retirement home where she can finally exhale and enjoy all the good things older dogs deserve.

A soft bed. Cozy blankets. Sunshine streaming through the window. Gentle walks and leisurely sniffing adventures. Someone to spoil her with treats. A warm lap to curl up beside. A family who thinks she's perfect exactly as she is. And most importantly, someone who will make her a promise: you're home, and were not giving up on you.

Santana has done well with other dogs so far, and we can test her with cats if needed. She is heartworm negative, already spayed, and ready to leave her past behind and start the next—and hopefully best—chapter of her life.

There is something incredibly special about giving a senior dog the happy ending she should have had all along. Santana may not have ten more years to give you, but the years she does have could be filled with more love, comfort, and happiness than she's ever known.

We promised Santana better days. Now we just need someone to help us keep that promise.

Once submitted, we will reach out to approved applicants by phone. We may also suggest other amazing dogs in our care who could be a great fit for your home.

LOCATION & TRANSPORT:

This dog is currently in South Mississippi. Local and out-of-town adopters are welcome. For out of town adopters, we offer virtual meet-and-greets and can arrange transport to many states in the Northeast. (The $250 adoption fee includes transport to the city on this listing. Our transports run every 2-3 weeks to that location.) We cannot adopt to Rhode Island due to import restrictions.

VETTING:

All of our dogs are cleared by a licensed veterinarian for transport and arrive to their adopters spayed/neutered with age-appropriate vaccines completed and are microchipped.
