Meet Harper!

Harper landed in an overcrowded shelter after coming from a pretty tough situation. But here's the thing about Harper: she refuses to let her past define her. This girl has decided there is still SO much good ahead, and she is ready to find the people who will make the rest of her story amazing.

At around a year old, Harper is a staffy mix with a big personality, a big heart, and a whole lot of love to give. She loves BIG and she loves HARD. Once Harper decides you're her person, congratulations—you're her person for life. She is incredibly loyal and devoted, and what she needs most now is a forever family worthy of all that love.

Harper would thrive with someone who appreciates a truly loyal dog and understands that with that loyalty can come a natural tendency to want to protect her home and her people. She is the kind of girl who will happily keep watch over the yard and make sure everyone knows their family is well protected. Sometimes a low traffic home is best for a dog like Harper. But she really does love making new friends!

And speaking of the yard... Harper LOVES a big yard! She may be a thick girl, but don't let that fool you—this girl is FAST! She runs perfectly alongside you and would make an awesome walking, jogging, or adventure partner. She's always up for getting outside and having some fun, but once the adventure is over, she is equally happy to become a professional couch potato and snuggle up with her people. She truly is the best mix of energetic and chill.

Oh and a huge bonus for any feline lovers out there... Harper is also GREAT with cats and kittens!

She can do well with other dogs, but because we often place our dogs out of town and they can't meet potential canine siblings beforehand, the easiest placement for Harper would be as the only dog in the home. LOCATION & TRANSPORT:

This dog is currently in South Mississippi. Local and out-of-town adopters are welcome. For out of town adopters, we offer virtual meet-and-greets and can arrange transport to many states in the Northeast. (The $275 adoption fee includes transport to the city on this listing. Our transports run every 2-3 weeks to that location.) We cannot adopt to Rhode Island due to import restrictions.

VETTING:

All of our dogs are cleared by a licensed veterinarian for transport and arrive to their adopters spayed/neutered with age-appropriate vaccines completed and are microchipped.
