Meet Shadow!

At approximately 6 years old, Shadow has officially left the kitten chaos behind... and honestly, we think that's a wonderful thing. Because what he has to offer his forever family is even better: a whole lot of LOVE, wrapped up in an incredibly soft, fluffy package.

Shadow is quite simply one of the best foster cats we've ever had. He is friendly, gentle, quiet, calm, and incredibly easy to live with. He loves people. He LOVES other cats and kittens. He doesn't mind kind, respectful dogs and would probably do fine with cat respecting kids. He uses his litter box perfectly, isn't messy, isn't destructive, and doesn't need constant attention to be happy. His ideal day probably involves finding a cozy spot, relaxing, and waiting patiently for someone to come along and give him some love.

He's not an overly needy cat who demands to be the center of attention. He's more of a Ill hang out here beside you while you go about your day, and when you have a minute, Id really enjoy some pets kind of guy. He has that wonderfully easygoing personality that makes a cat feel less like a pet and more like a quiet, comforting presence in your home.

Shadow may need a little decompression time when he first arrives in his forever home. After all, moving from one environment to another can be a lot. But give him a little patience, a safe place to settle in, and some time to realize he's home, and we have every confidence that the sweet, loving Shadow will emerge.

There is something really special about adopting an adult cat like Shadow. You already know who he is. No midnight kitten zoomies. No climbing the curtains. No tiny teeth and claws attacking your ankles. Just a soft, fluffy, green-eyed gentleman who wants a peaceful life, a comfortable home, and people he can love.

LOCATION & TRANSPORT:

This cat is currently in South Mississippi. Local and out-of-town adopters are welcome. For out of town adopters, we offer virtual meet-and-greets and can arrange transport to many states in the Northeast. (The $150 adoption fee includes transport to the city on this listing. Our transports run every 2-3 weeks to that location.) We cannot adopt to Rhode Island due to import restrictions.

VETTING:

All of our cats are cleared by a licensed veterinarian for transport and arrive to their adopters spayed/neutered with age-appropriate vaccines completed and are microchipped.
