OUT-OF-TOWN Dogs with NDR refer to dogs we have saved that have yet to make their journey to Ontario. These dogs are currently in our care with the help of our partners in the area. These dogs will all travel to the Niagara Region once an appropriate adopter or local foster is found.

Roxi is a beautiful Chocolate Lab mix with quite a story behind that big smile. Before coming to us, Roxi was abandoned on a back road in Kentucky and survived on her own for nearly two months before she was finally caught and brought to safety. She was also pregnant when she arrived. Considering everything she went through, it’s understandable that Roxi can be very shy and nervous when meeting new people.

Roxi needs someone willing to give her a little time and patience while she learns that she is safe. But once Roxi decides she can trust you, the walls come ALL the way down. She turns into an absolute softy who loves being with her person, climbing into your lap, soaking up attention, and giving plenty of kisses. She’s also very food motivated and does an excellent job keeping her kennel clean.

Roxi has already had to learn how to survive on her own. Now she deserves the chance to learn what it feels like to have a home where she never has to worry about being left behind again. Give this girl a little patience in the beginning, and you may end up with one of the sweetest, most affectionate little shadows you could ask for.
