OUT-OF-TOWN Dogs with NDR refer to dogs we have saved that have yet to make their journey to Ontario. These dogs are currently in our care with the help of our partners in the area. These dogs will all travel to the Niagara Region once an appropriate adopter or local foster is found.

Meet Grover—a handsome, resilient giant with an even bigger heart.
Grovers journey almost ended before it truly began. He found himself in a small-town shelter where time had run out, but thankfully he was rescued just in time. Since then, he has embraced his second chance and continues to impress everyone he meets.

Grover has proven himself to be eager to learn and eager to please. He mastered crate training in only two days, is fully house trained, and has been working hard on his manners. His foster has put a lot of time into helping him overcome his excited jumping, and he has made remarkable progress.
As a typical Anatolian Shepherd, Grover is intelligent, loyal, and devoted to his people. He enjoys being part of the family and thrives when he has space to stretch his legs and a secure yard to explore. He would do well as an only dog or with another friendly dog after slow, proper introductions.

Grover loves going for walks, rides well in the car, and while he may start off a little enthusiastic on leash, he quickly settles into a comfortable pace. Hes affectionate, gentle with those he trusts, and ready to repay the kindness shown to him with unwavering loyalty.
After everything hes been through, Grover is more than ready to leave his past behind and start the next chapter of his life with a family who will love him forever. If youre looking for a faithful companion with a heart as big as his paws, Grover may be the perfect match.

Good with kids: Older children and teens. Grover is still learning that hes a big boy, but he has made tremendous progress with his excitement and jumping.
Good with other dogs: Yes, with proper introductions and time to adjust.

Crate trained: Yes, although he currently lives in a spacious boarding kennel with his own outdoor run, he previously adapted to a 48 crate within just two days and would happily go in on his own.
