OUT-OF-TOWN Dogs with NDR refer to dogs we have saved that have yet to make their journey to Ontario. These dogs are currently in our care with the help of our partners in the area. These dogs will all travel to the Niagara Region once an appropriate adopter or local foster is found.

Danaes journey with us began when she was just 5 weeks old after being rescued from a hoarding case with more than 20 dogs and puppies. Thankfully, she was able to grow up in a loving foster home where she learned what it meant to be safe, loved, and simply be a puppy. At just 8 weeks old, Danae found a family of her own. Sadly, she was returned a year later when her family realized they didnt have the time to provide the training she needed.

Today, Danae is getting a second chance through our Hamilton Hounds Training Program in Florida. Shes learning basic obedience, good manners, and even a few fun tricks, and shes making wonderful progress every day. Danae is a gentle soul who can be a little shy when meeting new people. She gains confidence from having another friendly dog around and truly blossoms once she feels safe. Like a sunflower, she just needs a little time, patience, and sunshine to show her brightest self.

Danae is a complete water dog! Give her a kiddie pool and shes in heaven. If there isnt one available, shell happily try to squeeze herself into her water bowl instead. Its one of her funniest and most lovable quirks. Danae is looking for a forever family that understands trust takes time.
