Kyle is a 2-year-old, 58-pound Siberian Husky who arrived looking magnificently lupine and then immediately revealed himself to be a tender little dude with some concerns.
Kyle can be nervous when the world gets unfamiliar, but he is not aggressive. He just needs a minute to collect the available evidence, ascertain that nobody is being weird, and allow his nervous system to stop filing emergency paperwork. Give him patience and reassurance, and underneath the uncertainty is an absurdly loving, adorable, genuinely wonderful good boy who very much wants to trust you.
At two, he's still young enough for Husky foolishness but old enough to begin making occasional decisions with adult supervision from his frontal lobe. He needs a family who understands that confidence is built, not speed-ran, and who will let him acclimate without demanding instant extroversion. Kyle is not trying to be mysterious. Bro is processing.
He is heartworm positive, but Take Paws Rescue will handle his treatment, so that particular plot complication is already somebody else's problem.
Mostly, Kyle needs what every slightly worried 58-pound woodland prince deserves: kind people, predictability, affection, and enough time to realize he finally landed somewhere safe.
Once Kyle knows you're his people, we have a strong suspicion the whole nervous-guy situation is going to become deeply inconvenient for anyone hoping to use the bathroom alone.
He's loving. He's gorgeous. He's a very good boy. Kyle just needs somebody who will give him enough time to discover that the world can actually be pretty damn good.

All known details about our animals are posted on their profile and updated daily. Other info will be discussed in detail with the foster during the application review process. Due to the high volume of introductions/questions received we ask you to submit an application (that application can be used for any dog with Take Paws Rescue).
The adoption fee for adult dogs covers age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, spay/neuter if not yet performed, heartworm test & appropriate heartworm treatment by the rescue's vet. All dogs in our care are also kept up-to-date on HW/Flea Prevention.

***Take Paws Rescue, based in New Orleans, saves dogs from high-kill shelters across the South, owner surrenders, and discarded dogs with uncertain futures.
