Meet Bailey!
Bailey is only about a year old, but this little girl has quite the past! This sweet doodle mix was rescued from a home where she was living in squalor alongside pigs and even a tame fox. After a concerned neighbor reported the conditions, Bailey was eventually rescued when it appeared her owner no longer wanted her.
Her coat was so severely matted that it took four hours to cut her free. Even after that, she needed a trip to the vet for a final shave to remove what remained. But somehow, Bailey has remained the sweetest girl.
You truly would never know what she’s been through by meeting her. Bailey is incredibly friendly, affectionate, and happy to be around people. She especially loves spending time outside in the yard with the dogs she came in with, and she seems to really enjoy having canine friends by her side. Bailey is ready to meet her forever family!
Visit STAF.org for more information on our adoption process. *** Email adoptadog@STAF.org for next steps! ***
Adoption through STAF includes full vetting of the dogs, including a spay/neuter at 6 months (female)/9month (male) maximum.
We do not do same-day adoptions. You will be asked to return for at least one follow-up visit, then take the dog home for a trial period before officially adopting.
You must be 21 years or older to adopt from STAF.
Due in part to increasing coyote activity/incidents in the area and the difficulty of predicting how a dog will respond to invisible fence training, we can not adopt to homes with invisible fences.
We do request vet and personal references.
We can facilitate adoptions within a 30-mile radius of our Cincinnati-based shelter
