Meet Otis- our playful boy!

Meet Otis! This handsome 112-year-old Whippet mix weighs 37 pounds and is basically the definition of a sweet, fun-loving guy.

Otis came to STAF after his owner had to move somewhere that didnt allow pets. Hes friendly with people, gets along with other dogs, and has lived with cats before. Hes also house trained, crate trained, and rides great in the car.

Otis is a higher-energy guy who loves to play and would be happiest with someone who enjoys an active dog. Hes super sweet, playful, and loves being around his people. Hell need supervision when hes outside because he can climb fences. His former owner said he never tried to climb their fence, but we would be safe than sorry!

Once playtime is over, Otis is happy to hang out with his people and soak up some attention. Hes got a lot of love to give and would make a wonderful companion for someone looking for a fun, affectionate dog.

Adoption through STAF includes full vetting of the dogs, including a spay/neuter at 6 months (female)/9month (male) maximum.

We do not do same-day adoptions. You will be asked to return for at least one follow-up visit, then take the dog home for a trial period before officially adopting.
You must be 21 years or older to adopt from STAF.
Due in part to increasing coyote activity/incidents in the area and the difficulty of predicting how a dog will respond to invisible fence training, we can not adopt to homes with invisible fences.
We do request vet and personal references.
We can facilitate adoptions within a 30-mile radius of our Cincinnati-based shelter
