Meet Butters-a sweet and happy little guy!

Butters is an approximately 1 year-old Poodle mix who is just a really sweet, happy little guy. He was found as a stray, and sadly, no one ever came looking for him. We’re not sure how he ended up on his own, but he’s ready to put that chapter behind him and start over with his new family!

Butters is a wonderful mix of cuddly and playful. He’s perfectly content curling up in your lap for some serious snuggle time, but he also loves to play and can definitely get the zoomies when the mood strikes! He has such a sweet personality and just seems happy to be around people.

If you’re looking for a little companion who can be your cuddle buddy one minute and your playmate the next, Butters might be your guy.

Adoption through STAF includes full vetting of the dogs, including a spay/neuter at 6 months (female)/9month (male) maximum.

We do not do same-day adoptions. You will be asked to return for at least one follow-up visit, then take the dog home for a trial period before officially adopting.
You must be 21 years or older to adopt from STAF.
Due in part to increasing coyote activity/incidents in the area and the difficulty of predicting how a dog will respond to invisible fence training, we can not adopt to homes with invisible fences.
We do request vet and personal references.
We can facilitate adoptions within a 30-mile radius of our Cincinnati-based shelter
