Meet Cricket - Tiny Dog with a Big Personality!
If you've ever wished you could tuck a best friend into your lap and take him everywhere, Cricket might just be your perfect match.
At just one year old and around five pounds, this little Yorkshire Terrier has already mastered the art of stealing hearts. He is happiest when he's close to his people. Whether he's curled up in your arms, following you around the house, or heading out for a neighborhood stroll, Cricket simply loves being part of whatever you're doing.
One of his favorite activities is going for walks. For such a tiny guy, he enjoys exploring the world and keeps a happy little pace right beside you. When hes back home, his playful side comes out. Soft plush toys are his favorite, and he will happily chase after them when you toss one for him.
Cricket is also a smart little listener who wants to please. He is doing wonderfully with his bedtime routine, going into his crate to sleep through the night without barking or crying (what a good boy!)
He gets along well with other dogs. While his foster mom says he has not met any cats yet, his gentle personality suggests he may do just fine with a proper introduction.
Cricket needs to be watched around doors. He tries to escape and his foster mom says he is very quick!
Cricket is still settling in, and we are learning more about him every day, but one thing is already clear—he's an affectionate, playful little companion who's ready to bring joy, laughter, and plenty of cuddles to his forever family.
If you're looking for a sweet, pint-sized best friend Cricket is ready to meet you!
Visit STAF.org for more information on our adoption process. *** Email adoptadog@STAF.org for next steps! ***
All of our animals are spayed/neutered and current on shots.
We do not do same-day adoptions. You will be asked to return for at least one follow-up visit, then take the dog home for a trial period before officially adopting.
You must be 21 years or older to adopt from STAF.
Due in part to increasing coyote activity/incidents in the area and the difficulty of predicting how a dog will respond to invisible fence training, we can not adopt to homes with invisible fences.
We do request vet and personal references.
We can facilitate adoptions within a 30-mile radius of our Cincinnati-based shelter
