DESCRIPTION
Meet Oberon - our sweet gentle giant
Oberon is a big, sweet guy with an even bigger heart! This 4-year-old Great Pyrenees/bernard mix weighs around 120 pounds and has a calm, easygoing personality.
Oberon came to STAF after his farm home was no longer working out for him. He previously lived with both dogs and cats, so he has experience sharing his space with other animals. If his new home has cats, we’d still recommend slow, thoughtful introductions to make sure everyone is comfortable.
Despite his size, Oberon is a pretty laid-back guy. He loves getting attention and being petted, and he’ll happily play with a ball for a while when he’s in the mood. Then he’s perfectly content to settle back down and enjoy some company.
If you’re looking for a gentle giant who would rather hang out with his people than be the center of attention, Oberon might just be your perfect match!
Visit STAF.org for more information on our adoption process and our adoption application.
*** Email adoptadog@STAF.org for next steps! ***
All of our animals are spayed/neutered and current on shots.
We do not do same-day adoptions. You will be asked to return for at least one follow-up visit, then take the dog home for a trial period before officially adopting.
You must be 21 years or older to adopt from STAF.
Due in part to increasing coyote activity/incidents in the area and the difficulty of predicting how a dog will respond to invisible fence training, we can not adopt to homes with invisible fences.
We do request vet and personal references.
We can facilitate adoptions within a 30-mile radius of our Cincinnati-based shelter.
Adoption through STAF includes full vetting of the dogs, including a spay/neuter at 6 months (female)/9month (male) maximum.
