Roscoe Rusk - German Shorthaired Pointer and Terrier Dog for Adoption in Houston, Texas

Meet Roscoe Rusk!.........located in Houston, TEXAS

Mixed Breed
Weight: 60lbs
Estimated Birthday: 9/10/2023

Roscoe is a bundle of fun who absolutely loves life! He’s the kind of dog who thinks every visitor is his new best friend and happily greets everyone who walks through the door.

Roscoe loves to play, loves other dogs, and would enjoy having a canine friend to romp around with. He does well with older children, but because he can get a little enthusiastic when he’s having fun, younger children may be a bit too much for him.

When he’s not busy playing, Roscoe has some adorable favorite pastimes... like lounging in his very own little pond! He also thinks watermelon and bananas are pretty fantastic.

Roscoe knows his basic commands, including sit, shake, spin, and lay down, and he’s always ready to show off what he knows. He can be a little nervous during thunderstorms and fireworks, so he’ll need a family who can give him some extra reassurance when the skies get noisy.

Roscoe is ready to find a family who will love him as much as he’ll love them. If you’re looking for a fun-loving, social, playful companion with a big personality, Roscoe might just be your guy!

Roscoe Rusk is:
- Fully vaccinated, microchipped, & neutered
- Kennel & potty trained
- Dog friendly & Kid friendly (6+ years old)
- located in Houston, TX (transport available out of state!)

*We coordinate with multiple transport services that operate weekly to Eastern states and bi-weekly or monthly to Western states from Texas to your state or a neighboring state. These are ground transports using third party vehicles (vans/buses) converted for dog transport. Each adopter has the ability to track the van using the app Life360, and receives updates from transport along the way. Facebook chats are another resource to stay informed on tracking dogs on transport. Please be able to use one of these available services if you wish to follow your adopted dog on transport.

*Our adoption fees are based on the vetting we put into each dog. Fees for puppies (under 12 months) are higher because they require more vetting than dogs over 1 year.

*Listed breed and age are based on a best guess estimation by rescue and veterinary staff; DNA tests are not included in adoption.

*Our adopters are eligible to receive 50% off training with Curbed Behaviors Dog Training for programs booked within 30 days of adoption, and 25% off programs booked within 60-90 days of adoption.

*All of our adopters are invited to join our “Alum Pupdates” Facebook group, to share their story and their adorable pup with fellow Sunnyside Street Dogs adopters!
