Athena is a sweet, gentle girl with a shy side. She can be a little timid when meeting new people, but once she feels safe and gets to know you, her adorable personality really starts to shine.

She loves running and playing with her mama, her brother, and all of her foster siblings. Since Athena is still young, she’s naturally curious and enjoys exploring her surroundings and seeing what she can get into.

When playtime is over, Athena’s affectionate side comes out. She is incredibly sweet and loves curling up right next to you for some quiet time and cuddles.

Athena would do wonderfully with a loving family who will give her a little time to settle in and build her confidence. Once she knows she’s safe, you’ll get to see just how special this sweet girl really is.

*We coordinate with multiple transport services that operate weekly to Eastern states and bi-weekly or monthly to Western states from Texas to your state or a neighboring state. These are ground transports using third party vehicles (vans/buses) converted for dog transport. Each adopter has the ability to track the van using the app Life360, and receives updates from transport along the way. Facebook chats are another resource to stay informed on tracking dogs on transport. Please be able to use one of these available services if you wish to follow your adopted dog on transport.

*Our adoption fees are based on the vetting we put into each dog. Fees for puppies (under 12 months) are higher because they require more vetting than dogs over 1 year.

*Listed breed and age are based on a best guess estimation by rescue and veterinary staff; DNA tests are not included in adoption.

*Our adopters are eligible to receive 50% off training with Curbed Behaviors Dog Training for programs booked within 30 days of adoption, and 25% off programs booked within 60-90 days of adoption.

*All of our adopters are invited to join our “Alum Pupdates” Facebook group, to share their story and their adorable pup with fellow Sunnyside Street Dogs adopters!
