Luna - German Shepherd Dog and Siberian Husky Dog for Adoption in Houston, Texas

Meet Luna!

Luna is a sweet German Shepherd/Siberian Husky Mix (we think) whose story almost ended at a Houston shelter. She arrived in heartbreaking condition, severely underweight still full of milk. We have no idea what happened to her puppies but they didn't come into the shelter with her and you could tell she was looking everywhere for them. It was beyond heartbreaking.

When she was added to the euthanasia list an incredible foster family opened their heart and home to her and thanks to them Luna has had the chance to heal. As she's started feeling better, she's also started discovering the simple joys of being a dog again: playing with toys, exploring, going for long walks, and happily hopping in the car for an adventure.

Luna is one of those dogs that is just really really good. She gets along beautifully with dogs, kids, and everyone she meets. She's kennel trained, potty trained, and asks for very little beyond a soft place to rest, daily activity, and someone to love. She adores playing with toys and her foster fur siblings and equally loves long walks with her foster mom. We'd consider her medium energy gal and she would love an active family or person to include her in their adventures.

Whenever she goes out and about everyone comments how well behaved she is and how gorgeous she is. It's evident immediately upon meeting her she is a special girl.

After everything she's been through, Luna isn't looking for anything extravagant. Just a family who will cherish her the way she's always deserved. Luna is estimated to be 3 years old and weighs 75 lbs.
