Kayai is an adorable 10-week-old German Shepherd puppy with endless energy, a playful personality, and a whole lot of love to give!

Kayai’s story didn’t start the way any puppy’s should. She was found as a stray, seemingly abandoned by the world at just a few weeks old. Thankfully, we found her and placed her into a loving foster home, where she’s now learning what it means to be safe, loved, and part of a family.

Despite her rough start, Kayai is one happy, energetic little girl! She absolutely loves playing with other dogs, wrestling with her furry friends, and showing off her impressive zoomies! She’s always ready for her next adventure.

Kayai is currently working on crate training and house training, but at just 10 weeks old, she’s still very much a work in progress! She’s also learning basic commands like sit and stay. She’s a smart little girl who just needs patience, consistency, and guidance as she grows.

Kayai’s ideal home would be with a patient, committed family who understands that puppies require time, training, structure, and continued socialization. She would especially benefit from having another playful, well-socialized dog who is tolerant of an energetic little sister and can help show her the ropes!

Like most puppies, Kayai is still learning appropriate boundaries and exploring the world with her mouth. Because of her puppy teeth and enthusiasm, we recommend a home with older children or children who are already experienced with dogs.

Kayai is currently around 10 weeks old and 15 lbs, and we anticipate she will grow into a medium-to-large-sized dog.

Kayai isn’t looking for someone who just wants a cute puppy. She’s looking for a family committed to raising her into a well-rounded, confident, and happy adult dog.

She may have started her life unwanted and alone, but we’re determined to make sure the rest of her story is filled with love, adventure, and a family who will never abandon her again.

Kayai is being fostered in Houston, Texas, but she is available for adoption in many areas across the country. If you're seeing this post, that means she's available to transport to your area! Her adoption fee is $600, which includes transport. Kayai is vaccinated and current on preventatives.
