DESCRIPTION
Looking for a handsome shepherd with a story that's still being written? Meet Shepherd's Pie! This striking black shepherd is approximately 2 years old, weighs 66 pounds, and is ready for a fresh start after being removed from an unsafe situation by animal control and transferred to our rescue.
Shepherd's Pie is everything you could want in a shepherd: tall, lean, athletic, and absolutely stunning. While his good looks may turn heads, it's his quiet resilience that truly makes him special.
Since arriving at the rescue, Shepherd's Pie has shown himself to be a reserved and somewhat nervous boy as he adjusts to all the changes in his life. Despite his uncertainty, he's also curious about the world around him and wants to connect with people. He has allowed handling well and continues to gain confidence with the volunteers who care for him.
At the shelter, Shepherd's Pie was assessed as doing well with other large dogs. Since joining our rescue, however, he has appeared more nervous around them, so any potential canine sibling should come along for a meet-and-greet to ensure a good match. He is not a fit for homes with small dogs or cats.
Shepherd's Pie is looking for a patient adopter who will give him the time, guidance, and security he needs to fully blossom. Beneath that reserved exterior is a beautiful dog who deserves to finally know what safety, stability, and love feel like.
If you're ready to give this stunning shepherd the second chance he's been waiting for, Shepherd's Pie is ready to meet you.
He will come neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and 4dx tested.
