Meet Lucy (aka Lucy Goosey)! This mellow, gentle, devoted, sweet 1-year-old, 12-pound girl is low energy with a lovely mix of people-oriented and independent — she just needs a little time to acclimate to new surroundings, but once she warms up, she's the sweetest companion imaginable. She's initially timid with both new people and other dogs, but shows zero aggression, just gentle caution until she learns she's safe. She does wonderfully in her crate when left alone, settling quietly without any crying or barking. Once Lucy decides you're her person, she becomes deeply affectionate and loyal.

Lucy is fully potty and crate trained, and still building her leash confidence — she's made real progress as she's warmed up and become more comfortable. Her days are calm and simple: a morning routine, a walk, plenty of relaxing and cuddle time, some backyard time, and settling into her crate for the night, which she handles well. She loves squeaky toys and a good game of fetch, and while she doesn't need much exercise, a daily walk and regular outside breaks suit her well. Lucy would do best with a patient, gentle adopter willing to give her the time she needs to build trust — once she does, she'll want nothing more than to be by your side, whether that's curled up on your lap or tagging along wherever you go. Her foster's favorite thing about her is the way she looks into your eyes with a warmth that makes you feel instantly loved — Lucy is a tiny, loyal best friend just waiting for her person to love in return.
