Meet Jerry! This little gentleman is smart, social, and remarkably well-behaved — a low-to-moderate energy senior who handles new situations like an old pro. He's people-oriented and has been great with every new person he's met so far, plus he shares a bed happily with his two foster dog siblings every night. He knows his name, comes when called, and walks beautifully on leash. He does get a little anxious in the crate, but he's easy to load in when needed and turns into pure joy the moment his person walks back through the door. Guests? No problem — Jerry's got that covered too (with welcoming tail wags).

Jerry's ideal day is simple: a couple of walks, some backyard breaks, squeaky ball time, plenty of pets, and naps in between. Jerry is food and praise motivated and responds well to consistency when it comes to any skills he needs to brush up on. He'd do best with someone moderate-to-calm in pace who wants a devoted shadow — literally, he tends to stick close by all day. He's great in apartments, fine as an only dog or with a canine companion, and his foster describes him as immediately loyal, sweet, and always ready to cuddle. If you're looking for an easygoing senior who just wants to be near you — maybe even tag along to the office — Jerry would love to be that dog.
