Meet Chloe! This sweet, curious, spunky, affectionate nugget is low-to-moderate energy and genuinely people-oriented, though she's just as happy having some time to herself. Being tiny in a big world, she takes a little time to acclimate to new environments and can get startled by unfamiliar sights and sounds — but once she settles in, her playful, loving side really shines. She prefers meeting new people one at a time rather than in a crowd, warming up gradually as each new person is slowly introduced, and once she's comfortable, she'll happily crawl right into your lap. She's cautiously curious about other dogs outside, though bigger or overly energetic pups can spook her a bit, and she does fine being left alone, either napping or exploring on her own.
Chloe seems potty trained, using either outside or pads, though she can need a little extra time outdoors given how loud and new the world feels (a yard or patio would likely help her feel safer and more confident). She follows well on leash, responds decently to her name, knows sit, and understands what going outside means. She's an absolute lap dog at heart, content curling up for naps or lounging alone on a chair, and she genuinely enjoys walks and playful games like running up to playfully tease you. Chloe would likely do well with another dog given her background, though she doesn't require one as long as she has her person close by — a home with yard access would be ideal, giving her the confidence to explore and do her business without the overwhelm of busy city streets. Her foster describes her as an adorable, spunky little bean who lives for lap naps and belly rubs — pretty much the perfect chihuahua.
