Meet Fuzzwick, a sweet 6-year-old Chihuahua mix who is looking for a patient home where she can continue to blossom.

Fuzzwick came to ACCT Philly with 11 other dogs after their owner passed away. Understandably, all of the sudden changes have left her feeling a little unsure of the world. But even with everything she's been through, Fuzzwick is showing us what a loving little dog she truly is.

When first meeting new people, Fuzzwick can be shy and cautious. Give her a little time, though, and her sweet personality begins to shine. As she grows more comfortable with her handler or volunteer, she becomes social, solicits pets, and happily seeks out affection. It's incredibly rewarding to watch her confidence grow and see her realize that she's safe.

Fuzzwick is looking for a quiet, understanding home that will meet her where she is and continue helping her build confidence at her own pace. Because she gains reassurance from other dogs, she would do best in a home with a friendly, social canine companion who can help show her that the world isn't such a scary place.

This gentle girl may not be the life of the party on day one, but for someone willing to give her patience and kindness, Fuzzwick has so much love to give. If you're looking for a sweet companion who just needs a little encouragement to shine, Fuzzwick may be the perfect addition to your family.

She will come spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and 4dx tested. (We know her nails are on the long side - we are slowly cutting them back without causing her pain. She has two old wounds that are already healing.)
