Meet Degie!

Degie is an 8-pound Chihuahua with a tender heart and a gentle soul. At just 4 years old, his world was turned upside down when his owner passed away and the family home was lost. Along with his three Chihuahua companions, Degie suddenly found himself searching for a new beginning.

His family described him as a friendly dog, but like many little dogs facing big changes, Degie is still adjusting to everything that has happened. Right now, he's a bit nervous and cautious as he learns that he is safe. He allows handling and is respectful and cooperative, but he appreciates people who understand that trust takes time and that kindness goes a long way.

Degie is looking for a calm, patient home where he can settle in at his own pace. A quieter environment with a loving family willing to let him come out of his shell naturally will help him feel secure and confident again. Beneath his uncertainty is a sweet companion who simply needs a little time and understanding.

Degie can be adopted on his own, but he would also love to go home with his sister Blankee or one of the other Chihuahuas he arrived with, Lux or Sango. Having a familiar friend by his side may help make his transition a little easier.

He will come neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and 4dx tested. He is also scheduled to get a dental evaluation and will receive the dental as the vet deems necessary.
