Handsome, happy, playful, and always ready for his next adventure-meet Bowie! Bowie is a young mixed-breed boy with a herding-dog heart and an enthusiasm for life that is hard not to love. He's friendly, eager to please, and happiest when he's doing something with his people. Whether that means exploring a new trail, learning something new, playing outside, or simply tagging along for whatever the day has in store, Bowie would love to be your four-legged adventure partner.

As a herding mix, Bowie is an active, intelligent boy who would love having a job to do. But if his job is simply to bring joy to your life and accompany you on all of life's adventures, he'd be perfectly happy with that, too! We think Bowie will do best with someone who understands and appreciates herding breeds and other active working dogs. He'll thrive with a family that can provide plenty of exercise, mental stimulation, structure, and engagement. A home with lots of space or an active household that enjoys spending time outdoors would be a wonderful fit. Bowie was originally adopted through our local humane society here in Bend. After it became apparent that his previous home wasn't able to provide everything this energetic young dog needed, his family made the difficult but responsible decision to surrender him, and he was referred to Street Dog Hero. We're now looking forward to helping him find the home that truly matches his needs and gives him the opportunity to thrive.

We can picture Bowie doing wonderfully with older, dog-savvy children who understand how to interact respectfully with an active dog. He may also be an especially great match for someone who works from home or spends a lot of time at home and would love having a loyal companion ready to join them throughout the day. Bowie is young, handsome, smart, eager to please, and ready to get started on his next chapter. He's already neutered, microchipped, and up to date on his vaccinations, so all he really needs now is someone ready to make him part of the family.
