Some dogs have a way of making everyone they meet smile-and Beauty is exactly that kind of dog.

This stunning brindle-coated mixed breed recently made the incredible journey from our rescue friends and partners on the Big Island of Hawaii and has officially arrived in Oregon! After a long trip to the Pacific Northwest, Beauty is now settling into the loving care of her temporary foster family in the greater Portland area, where she'll have the chance to decompress, adjust to her new surroundings, and begin preparing for the next exciting chapter of her life.

At around 41 pounds, Beauty is the perfect medium-sized companion with an even bigger heart. From everything we've learned so far, she's a wonderfully affectionate, intelligent, and loyal girl who simply loves being with her people. Whether she's exploring the outdoors, going for neighborhood walks, enjoying a leisurely car ride, or curling up for some well-earned relaxation after a day of adventures, Beauty is happiest sharing life's moments with those she loves. She's already proven herself to be a smart cookie, too! Beauty has a wonderful foundation of training, knows several basic commands, is kennel and potty trained, rides beautifully in the car, walks nicely on leash, and has done well with other dogs and even cats. While she's a playful and social girl, she also appreciates a calm environment and will continue benefiting from the patience, encouragement, and loving guidance that every rescue dog deserves as they adjust to a brand-new life. As a foster home-based rescue, we'll continue learning more about Beauty's unique personality, favorite activities, and ideal home as she settles in over the coming days and weeks. We'll be sharing plenty of updates, photos, and foster reports along the way, so stay tuned!
